Gore-Tex Experience Tour Casting: Casting Info

On December 30th, I got an email from Doris. It turns out that the team has met up and made us a schedule for the two days that we will be in Switzerland. We start out in Interlaken city center on Saturday the 15th for an indoor climbing challenge. I imagine we will be climbing at the K44. You can check out the website here.

After our indoor climbing challenge we will be priveledged to have a picture and video presentation by Robert Jasper himself.

That night we will be staying at the Hotel Caprice in Grindelwald.

On Sunday the 16th, the Gore-Tex team and Robert have planned an outing as part of the casting. They have informed us that we will be doing a snowshoe hike or an ice climb. Obviously depending on the conditions. I would prefer to do a little ice climbing, yet I'm sure it all depends on the temperatures and the skill level of the group. If everyone is confident that we can tackle an ice climb and be prepared to leave Grindelwald by 3 or 4 that same afternoon, I bet we'll do it.

For a group that wants to do mostly technical ascents like the Matterhorn in winter or the Mayer Dibona (D+), an ice climb would be a good test of skill and confidence.
